1. Applicability of the General Conditions of Sale
1.1 Orders placed in the online store of Carob World Portugal Lda, located at EN 125 Sítio do Rio Seco, 8005-528 - Faro, with VAT number: 513 664 556, will be governed by these General Conditions of Sale. These apply to the exclusion of all other conditions. By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and unreservedly accepted these General Conditions of Sale.
1.2 By using this website and online store, you accept and agree to be bound by the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Carob World recommends that you read this Policy before using the services provided on this website.web.
1.3 Carob World has the right to change these Terms at any time. The customer is subject to the principles and terms in force on the date of his order unless the law or competent authority imposes any change to them.
1.4. Some services available in the online store are provided by third party companies contracted for this purpose, namely for the transportation of the goods purchased..
2. Use of the online store
2.1 By using the Online Shop and/or placing orders through it, the customer undertakes to provide mandatory information (email address, postal address, telephone contact) and/or other contact details) ensuring its veracity, in accordance with the Information on the Processing of Personal Data.
2.2 Ordering process: Enter the online store via the website, log in at the top right of the page, if you are not already registered, click on "Register here", enter your details and create an account, log in and start shopping.
2.3 Password: You are fully responsible for the use of your password and any orders placed with it.
2.4 If you suspect that someone has misused your password, you should immediately inform Carob World by calling +351 289 112 327.
3. Pricing policy:
3.1 The prices indicated in the online store will include VAT, the legal rate in force at the time of purchase. Shipping and transportation costs are excluded and will be calculated automatically according to volume, distance and type of shipment selected.
3.2 Carob World reserves the right to change its prices and shipping costs at any time and to cancel a contract if there is insufficient information.
4. Payment:
4.1 The prices set include VAT at the legal rate in force, and no discounts will be granted unless previously agreed between the parties.
4.2 Payment for orders can be made by debit card, credit card, PayPal and MBway.
5. Order confirmations:
5.1 Carob World reserves the right to refuse orders, particularly in justified situations of suspected fraud.
5.2 The data recorded by Carob World constitutes full proof of the order and the complete transaction.
5.3 The data recorded by the payment system constitutes legal proof of the financial transactions.
6. Delivery
6.1 Orders are dispatched within two working days of confirmation of payment unless there are occasional stock shortages.
6.2 After dispatch, an electronic communication containing information about the order is sent so that it can be tracked via "track and trace".
6.3 If for any reason the customer is unable to receive the order, they should contact Carob World to check the possibility of a new delivery option.
7. Checking the goods
7.1 It is the customer's responsibility to check the quantity and condition of the goods on delivery.
7.2 In the event of damage or missing items, you must notify the carrier and lodge a complaint, as well as inform Carob World within fourteen (14) days of delivery.
8. Returns
8.1 Carob World does not accept returns of any products from customers.
8.2 If non-conformities are found, the damaged product will be replaced.
8.3 The Customer has the right to freely withdraw from this contract within 14 calendar days, without giving any reason. The period for exercising the right of withdrawal expires 14 days from the day following the day on which you receive the product.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify Carob World of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of an unequivocal statement (e.g. letter sent by post or email or the model withdrawal form - Appendix 1 (printable document), to the following address.
9. Limitation of liability
9.1 The texts and photographs illustrating and describing the products on this website/online store are non-contractual and for information purposes only.
9.2 The General Terms and Conditions of Sale state that, regardless of the nature of the claim - whether relating to the products delivered, non-delivery or any other matter - the maximum amount of any claim may not exceed the purchase price of the products in respect of which damages are claimed. This limit applies to all claims, subject to applicable law.
9.3 Carob World shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages of any kind, even if Carob World knows or could have known of the possibility of such damages, resulting from the use, sale of its products on this website/online store.
9.4 Any and all liability for any loss or damage that the customer may suffer because of a breach of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale is expressly excluded.
9.5 By completing the online purchase process, the Customer declares that they have read, understood, and accepted the information available regarding the ingredients and allergens of the products.
10. Out-of-court dispute resolution:
Consumers may, at their express option, submit their dispute resolution to a consumer dispute arbitration centre.

11. Force Majeure
11.1 Carob World will make every effort to fulfil its obligations. However, Carob World cannot be held liable for delays or non-delivery of goods caused by circumstances beyond its control. Such circumstances include strikes, wars, natural or other disasters which make production, transportation and/or delivery of products impossible.
12. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
12.1 These General Conditions of Sale and use of this website / online store are governed by Portuguese law. The parties agree and are subject to the jurisdiction of the Faro District Courts.
